Ferry services between Hong Kong and Macau gonna be all messed up for the second straight day ‘cause a catamaran went and smacked a pier over the weekend. The boat needs fixing, so TurboJet, the company that runs the ferries, said on Sunday that some services gonna be “adjusted” on Monday while the authorities check out the busted vessel and give it the green light to head off for repairs at another spot. TurboJet also promised to hurry up with the repairs and try to find other boats to fill in for the affected services in the meantime. They posted all this on their social media page, but they didn’t bother saying which services gonna be affected. A quick check on TurboJet’s website for trips to Macau’s Outer Harbour on Monday didn’t show any cancellations, but tickets for a 10.15am ferry from Sheung Wan to Taipa in Macau weren’t up for grabs.

TurboJet started axing services after one of their catamarans bonked a pier at the Hong Kong Macau Ferry Terminal just after 3.30pm on Saturday. The ferry was heading to Macau but had to come back because of some “mechanical failure.” Not really sure why this matters, but there you have it. Now the boat needs fixing and people’s travel plans are all messed up. Hope they sort this out soon ‘cause no one likes having their plans messed with, am I right?

As of now, it looks like the ferry services between Hong Kong and Macau gonna be out of whack for a bit longer ‘cause of that catamaran smacking into the pier. TurboJet, the company running the ferries, said some services gonna be “adjusted” on Monday ‘cause the damaged boat needs to get checked out and fixed up. They’re trying to find other boats to cover the affected services for now, but they didn’t say which ones gonna be impacted. A peek at their website showed no cancellations for trips to Macau’s Outer Harbour on Monday, but you couldn’t buy tickets for the 10.15am ferry from Sheung Wan to Taipa in Macau. So yeah, things are still a bit messy ‘cause of that catamaran accident over the weekend.

Let’s hope TurboJet can get things back on track soon ‘cause nobody likes having their travel plans messed with. Getting stranded in one place when you’re supposed to be somewhere else is never fun. Hopefully, they sort out the repairs quickly and things can go back to normal. Fingers crossed for smooth sailing ahead!
