Strategic Road Tunnel Opened by India’s Narendra Modi to Border Zones
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a significant move on Monday by inaugurating a strategic Himalayan road tunnel, the Z-Morh or Sonmarg tunnel, in the Sonamarg region of India’s Jammu and Kashmir. This tunnel, stretching 6.4 kilometers beneath a treacherous mountain pass, will provide all-weather access to contested high-altitude border zones with rivals China and Pakistan.
