Police in Japan are like, really cracking down on these romance scammers who are out there taking advantage of disabled peeps. They use dating apps to find their victims, then lure them to shady bars where they end up with crazy high bills. It’s a whole mess, trust me.
So, this one dude who’s visually impaired got scammed out of like 700,000 yen, which is a lot of money, man. He met this chick “Risa” on a disability dating app, and she was all like, “Let’s go to this bar in Shibuya.” But little did he know, “Risa” was actually working with the bar staff to pull off this whole scam. Sneaky, right?
The bar had this deal where you could drink as much as you want for 5,000 yen, but then “Risa” started pushing more drinks on the dude and got him involved in some drinking game. Before he knew it, he was wasted because he doesn’t really drink much. So messed up. These scammers are out here preying on vulnerable folks, and it’s just not cool.
