The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) is gearing up for a spectacular series of events to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival this year. With the aim of attracting both visitors and locals, the HKTB has planned a range of activities that promise to dazzle and delight attendees.
Enhanced Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance
One of the highlights of the Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations will be the Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance, which is set to be bigger and better than ever before. This traditional dance will feature an expanded route that will take the fire dragon from Wun Sha Street to Tung Lo Wan Road. What’s more, approximately 100 children will be participating in the event, waving the fire dragon that will be illuminated by an impressive 10,000 LED lights. Live Broadcast Area at Victoria Park
To ensure that everyone can join in the festivities, the HKTB will be setting up a live broadcast area at Victoria Park from September 16th to 18th. Adding a modern twist to the traditional festivities, the HKTB has organized a special Mid-Autumn Festival-themed drone show that is set to take place on September 17th at the Wan Chai waterfront. The show will feature an array of dazzling drones that will light up the night sky, creating enchanting displays of the Jade Rabbit, mooncakes, and traditional lanterns.
