India gonna do some mock civil defence drills on Wednesday, according to government folks. They’re all worried about a potential regional conflict after some attack happened in Kashmir that India is pointing fingers at Pakistan for. Kanchan Gupta, a big shot at the information ministry, said the Ministry of Home Affairs told some states to get their act together and do these drills for civil defence. Basically, they’re gonna practice evacuating people and training them on how to protect themselves in case of an attack. They’re also gonna test out air raid sirens, get ready for blackouts, and make sure important places can blend in with their surroundings.
New Delhi is mad at Pakistan for an attack on some tourists in Pahalgam, Kashmir on April 22. This led to a bunch of threats and back-and-forth drama between the two countries. Pakistan is saying they didn’t do it and they’ll fight back if India tries anything.
So, yeah, it’s all getting pretty tense over there. Not really sure why this matters, but hey, that’s the news for you. Just a bunch of countries pointing fingers and getting ready for a fight. Sounds like a blast, doesn’t it?
