Police in Aberdeen have arrested a man on suspicion of murder after discovering the body of a 25-year-old woman at the bottom of Waterfall Bay. The man’s wife has also been arrested for allegedly helping the offender.
The incident was reported to the authorities at 7:30 am on Monday, and emergency responders found the woman’s body on the beach. Superintendent Sin Kwok-ming revealed that the victim was a domestic helper from Southeast Asia, and she had sustained injuries to the back of her head and forehead. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
Initial investigations indicated that the woman had arrived at the scene with the male suspect in a taxi late on Sunday night. The man left the area alone around 30 to 40 minutes later, and he and his wife then traveled to the mainland. The police were able to identify and apprehend the couple upon their return to the city on Tuesday afternoon.
